Or to give its usual title " FOBs" ...is Burnholme's version of a PTA. Our aim is to raise extra money for the college by putting on various fund raising events like school discos, fashion shows, and generally helping out at open nights, sports days etc. by providing tea, coffee and refreshments.
FOB's has recently amalgamated with the Parents Focus Group so if anyone has any queries about how the school is run they can bring them up with one of our members who is part of the senior leadership team. We also liaise with the School Council via one of our members who attends their meetings.
Each year FOB's present a prestigious award for positive representation at presentation day. This is awarded to a member of upper and lower school but is not for academic achievement, more for actions that show the college in a good light .
So if you'd like to keep your finger on the pulse of this thriving community, to find out more about all the college gossip, or just to get to know your child's friends and teachers, and the other parents, then please feel free to join us at one of our friendly informal meetings. Any new ideas you might have for fund-raising would be welcome. We usually meet every half term, on Tuesdays at the Walnut Tree Public House.
