On the 5th April, Year 10 Art & Design GCSE students enjoyed a trip to Leeds City Art Gallery. In the morning, they all participated in a sculptural workshop lead by practising Artist, Nichola Pemberton. Students worked in the style of Henry Moore and produced some life size figurative sculptures and then spent time making expressive drawings of them. Students were also given a guided tour of the gallery and spent time independently investigating contemporary and traditions works of Art. We, the staff, were very proud of the students who came on the trip as they were highly praised and complimented for their positive approach and impeccable behaviour by Leeds City Art Gallery Staff as well as the bus company.
