Key Stage 3
Students in years 7 - 9 follow the science curriculum studying all 3 areas of science ( biology, chemistry and physics ). They learn about all aspects of science and carry out investigative work. They complete about 12 units per year, covering all three areas, and develop skills based on predicting, observing, analysing and evaluating. Students also develop literacy and numeracy skills within each unit. At the end of 2 units, students sit a unit test and are given a Key Stage 3 level.

Comment on exams 2008 In the summer of 2008 we achieved continued success with our year 9 SATs results. We achieved 63% Level 5 and above. Well done to those students - a good indicator for those GCSE exams in January 2009! Year 11 did well in their Core and Additional science. Year 10 also do Science GCSE exams and they are currently out performing the previous year with 58% of pupils achieving a Grade C and above at Core Science. We are really proud and so impressed with your achievements and look forward to August 2009 being even more successful!
