Equipped with the latest audio- visual gadgetry, 18 flat screen networked computers, touch-screen boards and rooms full of communications technology, it is the crowning glory of the college since it was granted specialist business and enterprise status.
It is now a venue which can be used for conferences, training seminars, and exhibitions for advising start-ups.
The suite is regularly used by the City of York Council Advisory Service which invests in training courses for teachers and education staff as well as for meetings and seminars by the North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership, plus business bookings from as far away as Nottingham and Cambridge.
But beyond the commercial success of the suite, which has its own private access, it offers benefits to both businesses and Burnholme students. From an education perspective, there are huge advantages in having an independent business resource as part of the school environment.
