Burnholme Community College is a very special place and I see it as a focus for the community. At Burnholme we firmly believe that every individual should have the opportunity to achieve in as many areas as possible, be that academic, sport, hobby or other interest. I am privileged to work with the most talented group of people yet in my career and we will work tirelessly to help your child reach the highest academic standards.

Burnholme is leading the way in personalised learning and all young people make very good progress throughout the 5 years they are with us. Our contextual value added rating is the highest in the City of York. This means that you can be confident that your child will progress above expectations independent of prior attainment.

As a community school we offer extensive services ranging from Breakfast Club through inclusion and personalised learning to being the base for the East York Sports Partnership. This means that any young person joining the Burnholme Community can expect a wide range of educational experiences and exciting opportunities.
